Today I found this toy box thingy. It was in good shape but the previous owner had their artwork all over it. I'm not a fan of kid-graffiti so I decided to spray paint it. I think it turned out good but I'll let you see for yourself.

Lilacs

I LOVE lilacs.
It such a shame that they only last for a few weeks in the spring. They really deserve to be around for the whole summer.
I picked some for my kitchen table.
I wish that I could take a picture of how they smell.
Unfortunately they have made me sneeze constantly ever since I brought them inside but... I don't care. The smell is SO worth the extra allergies.

Local Garden Center

Who knew visiting a garden center could be so fun! I didn't get pictures but they had 2 enormous Macaws that all three boys loved! They've already asked me if we can go back again.

Last year when we moved I had to leave my garden. Not only was it just about ready to produce yummy fruits and veggies but it was the first garden I had ever planted and taken care of on my own. I'm still traumatized over the whole situation.
All those peaches! (tear...)
Anyway.
This year I wanted to grow a garden but had two problems....
1. No garden space
2. We are moving to a different house in July
The solution.
A garden in planter boxes! I can put them in my patio area AND I can take them when we move.
Woo hoo!

Since I'm trying to become a 'photographer' (whatever that means) I have this thing about only wanting to show good pictures. However... With little kids and one who doesn't know what it means to pose or even sit still for a picture I don't always get 'good' pictures. I'm trying to convince myself that it's okay to have ordinary snapshots of everyday stuff.

So. This is one of those snap shots. Grainy. UN-cropped. UN-planned. UN-photo shopped.

Basically, just a normal afternoon at my house.
